Carithers Pediatric Group Endowment in Community Pediatrics and Child Advocacy

This fund honors Dr. Hugh Carithers and supports teaching, research and academic programs in community pediatrics and child advocacy at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville, Department of Pediatrics. Pediatricians, Dr. Carithers and his beloved wife, Dr. Connie Carithers, now deceased, founded the Carithers Group in 1941 and dedicated themselves to providing excellent care for children locally and to improving standards for practicing pediatricians at the state and national levels.
