Rebecca Jakubcin
This fund was established in 2008 by Fisher & Phillips LLP, in memory of Rebecca Jakubcin, to support the Dean’s discretionary fund, where each semester, the top student in the Labor/Employment Law Class will receive this book award. Rebecca Jakubcin was born in 1973. She earned her juris doctor from the University of Florida in 1999 and was a partner for the law firm of Fisher & Phillips LLP. In 2006, she was selected as one of Law & Politics Magazine’s Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Stars. She was a talented attorney, a valued and highly respected member of the firm and was made a partner on January 1, 2007. She passed away ten months later.
