Gilbart-Olsen Educational Technology Endowment

Donald H. and Helen W. Gilbart

This fund was established by Donald H. and Helen W. Gilbart and Norma Karin Olsen in 2008 to support educational technology.

Donald Gilbart was born July 11, 1927. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 1952 and a master’s degree in education in 1963, both from the University of Florida and retired from Hillsborough Community College. He passed away March 31, 2011.

Helen Gilbart was born July 4, 1933. She earned a bachelor’s degree in 1965 and a master’s degree in education in 1967, both from the University of Florida. She is retired from St. Petersburg Junior College.

Norma Olsen was born March 22, 1954. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 1976 and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction in 1980, both from UF. She was an instructional designer for the Flight Standards Division of the Federal Aviation Administration before she passed away July 20, 2006.
