Peter C. Barr Integrated Marketing Communications Endowment
GA #2 signed 07/15/14: Existing $59,067.56 in the fund shall be used to hire the Executive Director of the College's Strategic Communications Agency. The spendable income of the Fund shall be used to support staff salary.
Established in 2007 by Peter C. Barr, Sr., this fund supports a Professional-in-Residence who specializes in Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC), with at least 10 years experience in the IMC field. The Professional-in-Residence will teach both Advertising and Public Relations students, among others, who wish to broaden their futures from the College of Journalism and Communication at the University of Florida. Due to vast changes in communications in today’s world, Peter was concerned that greater opportunities needed to be covered in students’ studies. He earned his bachelor’s of communications degree from the College of Journalism and Communications in 1957.
