Brigadier General Jack S. Blocker and Bonita R. Blocker Endowment Fund
GA (estate): support teaching, research and academic programs in the Warrington College of Business, in the Dean's discretion.
This fund was established in 2007 by the family of Brigadier General Jack S. Blocker and Bonita R. Blocker to support teaching, research and academic programs in the Warrington College of Business. Jack Blocker was born in 1913. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 1936 and a master’s degree from Ohio State University in Columbus in Business Administration in 1948. His wife, Bonita, was also born in 1913. In the 1960s, she was a stockbroker with Grant Jones. From the late 1960s until her retirement, she was a real estate sales agent with Virginia Realty. She passed away in 2003, and Jack followed in 2006. He was predeceased by their daughter, Katherine, and survived by their two sons, Jack and Kent. Both Jack and Bonita are interred in Arlington National Cemetery.
