UF Air Force ROTC Program Enhancement Fund

The Department of Aerospace Studies ranks among the finest in the nation as we develop quality leaders for the United States Air Force and Space Force. Your contributions help us develop cadets morally, mentally, and physically so they can serve as leaders who are committed to the values of the Air and Space Forces. Your generosity allows us to provide advanced training, formative development experiences, team-building events, training technology, and facility improvement to ensure the success of future military officers while they prepare to lead our nation’s Airmen and Guardians.

Initially established in 1946 under the Army Air Forces ROTC program, Detachment 150 is among the oldest Air Force ROTC units in the nation. It is also one of the Air Force’s premier officer training units, having twice secured the prestigious ‘Right of Line’ trophy and proudly earning honors as “Best in the Nation”. Detachment 150 has evolved significantly in size and structure throughout its storied history, but presently hosts approximately 90 of the best and brightest from the University of Florida and Santa Fe College.

Through the educational program at Detachment 150, our cadets are trained and developed to be leaders of character. Their journey begins here whether they compete to fly the most advanced aircraft in the world by securing a pilot training slot, work with the future of computing technology to defend our cyberspace or take on any of the other numerous officer career fields in the Air Force or Space Force. In the past more than 75 years, our detachment has remained steadfast in the recruitment, development, assessment, training, and education of the world’s finest leaders.
