This fund was created in 2007 by Albert A. Sanchez, Jr. to support lectures to be used in conjunction with the Albert A. Sanchez, Jr. Professorship in Ethics and Public Life in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Albert A. Sanchez, Jr. earned his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy in 1975 and his juris doctor in 1978 from the University of Florida. Early in his career, Sanchez was an associate at CBS&M, P.A. in Sarasota, FL. In 1980, he became a partner and shareholder in the firm, where he stayed until forming his own private practice in 1988. He has served on the advisory board of County Federal Bank and as the legal counsel and advisor for Southside School Foundation. In 1995, Albert co-founded The Gibraltar Companies, an upscale, residential and commercial development company, and Gibraltar Homes, a luxury homebuilder.
He and his wife, Carolyn E. Sanchez, have four children, Harrison, Phillip, Colin and Kate.
