Fund Purpose
Trust: support one or more faculty positions in finance and/or insurance, if necessary giving preference to insurance over finance; appropriate governing body of UF shall have discretion to determine the number of such chairs and to select faculty members to occupy them, provide such discretion is exercised in a manner which will enhance the settlor's purpose of making funds available to finance the best possible scholarship in the basic subject matters of insurance and finance.

This fund was established by the estate of John B. Hall, a 1953 alumnus of the University of Florida, to support faculty positions in finance and insurance, with emphasis on finance. Hall was born May 7, 1931. He passed in March, 2004 at age 72.
