As in all of the United States, injury remains the major cause of death and disability in Northeast Florida. The mission of the Department of Emergency Medicine is based on the long-standing tradition of academic excellence and vibrant enthusiasm of the specialty of Emergency Medicine. We strive to serve as world-class leaders in advancing the understanding and practice of emergency medicine through dedication to our interdependent missions of patient care, education and research. This fund supports the mission of the department.
