The mission of the North Florida Gator Club® is to foster and enhance the relationship between the University of Florida, its alumni, students and friends in the counties of Baker, Columbia, Hamilton, Suwannee and Union and to support the university’s mission of teaching, research and service. In 2007, the North Florida Gator Club® established this fund in memory of the late Patty Dale Gill.

Patty was born October 24, 1956 and earned her bachelor’s degree from the UF in Elementary Education in 1977. Her husband, Paul L. Gill, earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management with a major in accounting in the same year.

Patty worked for the School District of Columbia County and was a member of the North Florida Gator Club®. She passed away December 28, 2005.

The North Florida Gator Club®, an affiliated organization of the University of Florida’s Alumni Association. Having a number of locations, Gator Clubs® and Affiliate groups promote diversity, thus encouraging the spirit of the Gator Nation®. Gator Clubs® host a multitude of social and athletic functions, sponsor educational and professional seminars, provide scholarship opportunities, design community service projects and foster young alumni programming. Membership is open to all alumni, parents, friends and students of the University.

The UF Alumni Association-chartered Gator Clubs® and Affiliate groups sponsor scholarships for students attending UF from all over Florida, as well as many other parts of the country. Gator Club® scholarships are awarded based upon criteria established by each Gator Club® or group including but not limited to academic merit, school and community involvement.
