Carol E. Williamson Endowed Scholarship Fund
Support scholarships for Dentistry students.
Carol E. Williamson was born January 15, 1953. She graduated from the University of Florida’s College of Dentistry in 1980 and completed her residency at Louisiana State University and operated a periodontics specialty practice in Ocala.
Her leadership roles in organized dentistry included presidency of the Marion County Dental Association and membership in the Florida Dental Association’s Council on Governmental Affairs and the Council on Dental Education. She also served as a delegate to the FDA House of Delegates and an alternate for the FDA’s delegation to the American Dental Association.
In 1966, she was named to a three-year term to the ADA’s Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations. Appointed to the Florida Board of Dentistry in 1991, she served as a chair from 1995-97 and was elected to a second term.
A fellow to the American college for dentists, she was a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and was named the UF College of Dentistry’s Outstanding Alumna of 1994.
