Breast Health Education Program-Jacksonville
Breast cancer will affect one out of every eight women in the United States and is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, exceeded only by lung cancer. However, there is hope — death rates from breast cancer have been declining in recent years, with the decreases believed to be the result of earlier detection through screening and increased awareness as well as improved treatment. A contribution to the Breast Health Education Program fund will not only support the Department of Pathology at UF’s College of Medicine at Jacksonville, but will also provide funding for the Multidisciplinary Symposium on Breast Disease.
