This fund was established in 2007 by the estate of Natalie Joseph, in memory of her son, Stephen Harman Donohoe, to support research in the Department of Neurosurgery at the McKnight Brain Institute.
Stephen H. Donohoe was a lawyer who practiced in Jacksonville, FL until being disabled by an aortic aneurism in 1997. He graduated from Mercer University in 1966, and after service in the Army Signal Corps in Turkey, he graduated from the University of Florida in 1972. He began his legal career as an assistant public defender in Jacksonville, Two years later, he entered private practice, which he continued for 23 years. His wife of 25 years, Jean, passed away in 1994. They had one son, Alexander. Stephen H. Donohoe passed away on November 9, 2004.
