This fund was established in honor of Raymond L. Hackett in 2007 through several donors to support fifth-year graduates training in pathology, the pathology residency training program, initiatives in undergraduate pathology education and faculty initiatives.
Raymond L. Hackett is a retired University of Florida professor emeritus in the Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine. He worked in the department from 1962 until his retirement in 2002. He also served as the department’s associate chairman from 1979 to 1998. In 1998, Raymond Hackett was named a professor emeritus.
He has been married to Mary E. Hackett for more than 50 years and they have three children and four grandchildren.
