Dr. Paul Tarrant Faculty Fellowship
GA: support a faculty fellowship in the Dept of Chemistry to be awarded at the discretion of the Dept Chair.
This fund was established in 2007 by Alan M. Lovelace in honor of Dr. Paul Tarrant to support a faculty fellowship in the Department of Chemistry. Tarrant graduated from Duke University and Sanford College and was the first chairman of the fluorine division of the American Chemical Society. In 1966, he received the Florida Award of the Florida Section of the American Chemical Society, which recognizes leadership and contributions toward the advancement of the profession of chemistry. He retired in 1980 after 34 years as professor of chemistry at the University of Florida.
