Edward Downey established this fund in 2006 to support teaching, research and academic programs at the Levin College of Law. Downey earned his bachelor’s degree in 1981 and juris doctor in 1984 from the University of Florida before returning to Palm Beach County to practice law. His wife, Julia Black Downey, earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism in 1981 from UF.
