David and Brian Marshall Memorial Fund
Support scholarship for graduate student in the Dept of Counselor Education.
This fund was established by the department of counselor education in 2006 in memory of brothers, David and Brian Marshall. Raised in Gloucester, MA, both brothers were avid sports fans and were involved in competitive shooting. They earned their undergraduate degrees at Eastern New Mexico University. David had a love for sports psychology and pursued a master’s degree in experimental psychology before coming to UF as a doctoral student. Brian came to UF to study exercise science, but switched to counselor education when the brothers began planning the creation of the Florida Center for Performance Excellence, a sports psychology consulting business. David and Brian Marshall died August 12, 2006 when their car lost control on Interstate 9
