Wilton R. Miller Family Excellence Scholarship

Wilton R. Miller earned a juris doctor from the University of Florida in 1962. He was appointed Deputy Attorney General under Richard Ervin, where he handled the Attorney General’s legislative program for two years. Miller then served as a close advisor and legal counsel to then Governor C. Farris Bryant. In 1965, Florida Agriculture Commissioner Doyle Conner appointed Miller as the department’s chief counsel. He held this post until 1969 when he entered private legal practice. In 1973, he became a partner in Bryant Miller Olive.

Miller and his wife, Susanne, have a daughter, Julie, who earned her bachelor’s degree in English in 2002 and a juris doctor in law in 2005 from UF.
