GA: support undergrad scholarships who have show initiative in advancing women's leadership in any of these areas: university organizations, business, politics, community improvement, gender issues, and other fields of university and community life that provide new opportunities of responsibility for women; applicants will be considered based on accomplishments in these fields or on basis of an innovative proposal likely to be accomplished during single year of scholarship; may be renewed; recipients will be given biographical information about Bonni G Tishcher.
Bonni Tischler
This fund was established by the estate of Bonni G. Tischler; and her brothers Sam Tischler JM1970 and Andrew Kessel to support scholarships for students interested in advancing women’s leadership. Bonni earned her bachelor’s degree in broadcast communications from the College of Journalism, University of Florida in 1966. Bonni was awarded alumni of Distinction in the College of Journalism in 2002. Bonni was the first female Assistant Commissioner in the history of the United States Custom Service being appointed to this post for the Office of Field Investigations in 1997 followed by the appointment to Assistant Commissioner of the Office of Field Operations in 2000 and at the time was the highest ranking female federal agent.
