UF Health Cancer Center Leadership Council Endowment for Cancer Research

This fund was established by several donors in 2006 for the purpose of supporting cancer research at Shands Cancer Center.

Local and national community leaders, representatives from various cancer agencies and individuals devoted to finding a cure for cancer volunteer as members of the Community Advisory Board to assist the University of Florida Shands Cancer Center with several initiatives including:

* Working with the federal, state and legislative branches to enhance the Center’s position for the funding of clinical and research activity.
* Contributing to the center’s community profile through personal contacts and participation in special events and educational activities.
* Planning and implementing strategies for fundraising efforts on behalf of the University of Florida Shands Cancer Center.
