Marc A. Gale Endowed Term Professorship
GA: support endowed term professorship in the College of Dentistry. (Once the total amount needed for an endowed full professorship is reached, the fund name will be changed back to the Marc A. Gale Endowed Professorship Fund with the fund purpose to support an endowed professorship, as originally established).
Marc Gale, D.M.D., M.Ed. is the only faculty member at UFCD who has taught every dental student who has passed through its doors. He began his storied career at UF in 1972 as an assistant professor in the Department of Operative Dentistry. Now retired as a professor emeritus, his legacy will continue through the Marc A. Gale Term Professorship in Operative Dentistry.
Alumni and friends of the college now have the opportunity to extend Dr. Gale’s powerful legacy by making a gift to honor his four decades of service to dental education in Florida. Faculty endowments are one of the most significant ways to honor the impact a particular professor has had upon his or her students. This term professorship will be awarded to a faculty member providing leadership in operative dentistry, as Gale has done during his long career.
