F. Joseph Kemker joined the UF Department of Communicative Disorders in 1977 where he is a professor and chief audiologist. His major interests are newborn hearing screening and follow-up, and craniofacial disorders. Kemker also specializes in diagnostic audiology and hearing aid evaluation and follow-up. He serves as a faculty member on the Au.D. joint program with the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. He is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the American Academy of Audiology. In 1996, he received honors from ASHA and in 2000 he was awarded with its Life-Time Achievement Award.
