This fund was established in 2006 by Stacey Shaw to support graduate students studying newspaper journalism in the College of Journalism and Communications. Stacey set up the fund in honor of her late mother, Joy Reese Shaw, who was an investigative reporter for The Miami Herald. Stacey graduated from the College in 1970 and is now working as the director of communications for the Herberger College of Fine Arts at Arizona State
