Fund Purpose
Support a term professorship to initially hire an additional breeder/geneticist to work in tomatoes; individual will work closely w/plant geneticists and molecular biologists at UF to develop varieties resistant to fungi, viruses and bacteria, show increase yields and improve quality of tomatoes and vegetables within UF/IFAS; if needs change the donor may wish to use income for broader horticultural crop issues.
