Stephen A. and Nancy B. Crane Fellowship

This fund was established in 2005 by Stephen A. and Nancy B. Crane.
Stephen earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Florida in 1971 and received a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1976 after graduating cum laude from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in 1975. He then went on to become a partner with the law firm Foley & Lardner LLP. He chaired the firm’s Commercial Transactions & Business Counseling Practice, and is a member of the Transactional & Securities Practice. The primary focus of Crane’s practice at the firm was business and corporate law.
Mr. Crane is a member of The Florida Bar and the American Bar Association and has been active in the Tax Sections of both organizations. He also has addressed numerous business audiences on business and tax issues. He is a former Executive Board member of the United Way of Hillsborough County and is currently a member of the Advisory Board to the University of Florida Foundation. In 2006 and 2007, Crane was named a 2006 and 2007 Florida “Super Lawyer” by Law and Politics Media, Inc.
