This fund was established by Charles H. and Wanda N. Denny in 2005 for the purpose of supporting teaching, research and educational programs in the Discovery Room or similar children’s educational programs at the Florida Museum of Natural History.
Charles was born March 9, 1942. He earned a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Florida in 1957. At UF, he became a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He was the president of C.H. Denny Corporation and is the former owner of Denny Concrete Company.
Wanda earned her bachelor’s in education, master’s in education, doctorate in philosophy and master’s of business administration all from UF. While at UF, she became active in Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society and Omicron Delta Kappa. Wanda graduated Phi Kappa Phi.
Charles and Wanda have five children.
