Charles M. and Joanne Mirabella Professional Advancement Fund in Honor of Sam and Marie Mirabella
GA: support professional advancement activities of students and faculty in the College of Journalism and Communications; may include but is not limited to, professional summers, research, professional conference attendance and presentation, student regional/national competitions, international programs and field trips to professional organizations.
This fund was established by Charles M. and Joanne Mirabella in 2005 for the purpose of supporting the professional advancement activities of students and faculty in the College of Journalism and Communications.
Charles graduated with a bachelor’s in advertising from the University of Florida in 1981. While at UF, Charles became a brother of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and played football for the Gators. He is an employee of Precision Orthopedic, Inc.
Charles and Joanne, have one daughter, Lauren R. Whitehurst.
