Norman and Maggie Nelson Scholarship for Counselor Education

Norman F. “Norm” and Margaret “Maggie” Nelson created this fund in 2005 to support the Department of Counselor Education. An alumnus and longtime supporter of the University of Florida, Norm Nelson earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of Education at the University of Florida in 1966 and earned his master’s degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University in 1967. He was trained to fly while he was in the US Navy and became a pilot for Delta Airlines, Inc.

Norman and Maggie have two children, Marie S. Nelson and Patrick S. Nelso
