Chris Morris Arts Education Endowment at P. K. Yonge

Fund Purpose
GA: support fine arts and performing arts programs at P. K. Yonge Developmental Research School (a component of the University of Florida's College of Education) through innovative teaching, research and academic support.

This fund was established in honor of Chris Morris in 2005 for the purpose of supporting fine arts and performing arts programs at P. K. Yonge Developmental Research School (a component of the University of Florida’s College of Education) through innovative teaching, research and academic support.

Chris earned her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Florida in 1969. She retired as professor emeritus after 33 years with the College of Education and P. K. Yonge. During her tenure at the school, she served as principal for 22 years and taught classes in creative writing and theater arts. Her husband, Stanley, earned his bachelor’s degree and juris doctor from UF. The couple’s daughter, Whitney, also graduated from UF, earning a bachelor’s degree in advertising in 2004.
