David and Lynda Yoder established this endowment in 2004 in loving memory of their daughter, Carrie Lynn Yoder. Carrie earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in botany in 1997 and her master’s degree from the University of Central Florida. She was working on her dissertation at Louisiana State University when she tragically died in 2003. She had a love for travel and biology, often combining her interests to take vacations in order to discover different biological resources around the worl
