Marion Harlow Gerber Fund
GA: support need-based & merit scholarship & fellowship awards to students majoring in the Dept of Psychology at University; donor requests that preference be given to graduates who hold high school diploma from high schools located in the US.
Marion Harlow Gerber established this fund in 2005. Marion earned her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh in 1932 and her Life Certificate from Wayne State University in 1934. In 1954, she graduated from UF with her master’s degree in education. She worked for the Alachua County Public School district until her retirement in 1971. Her husband, Justin E. Harlow, Jr., was the first person to receive a doctoral degree from UF’s psychology department in 1952. Marion and Justin had two children, Margaret Harlow Smith and Justin E. Harlow III, a 1964 graduate of UF’s College of Engineerin
