Phyllis Kottler Friedman Professorship
William Friedman, MD, professor and former chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at UF Health, and his family and friends established this professorship to honor the life and memory of Dr. Friedman’s late mother Phyllis Kottler Friedman.
A brain tumor expert who has written more than 250 articles and book chapters and a book on radiosurgery, Friedman completed his residency at UF in 1982 and has been at the university ever since. He also serves as co-director of the Preston A. Wells Jr. Center for Brain Tumor Therapy. Along with Dr. Friedman, we extend gratitude to Lewis Schott for his tremendous support of this professorship and the UF department of neurosurgery.
