David H. Levin Chair in Family Law

David H. Levin was born in 1928, and was a lifelong resident of Pensacola who received his undergraduate degree in economics from Duke University and his law degree from the University of Florida. After law school, Levin joined the U.S. Air Force and spent one year in Korea. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he returned to Pensacola to create the law firm of Levin and Askew with his life-long friend, Ruben Askew.
Levin was the former president of the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a former member of the Florida Council of One Hundred and a major supporter of UF. Levin passed away on Jan. 7, 2002.
