NWSA Thomas D. Moore Scholarship Fund

Fund Purpose
Support students in New World Schools of the Arts college level string and percussion program.

Thomas Moore has performed world-wide concerts throughout Europe, the former Soviet Union, South Africa, Canada, the United States and South America. After tenure as a full Professor of Violin, Chamber Music and Artist-in-Residence, Moore came to Miami as concertmaster of the Philharmonic as well as full professor and head of the String Department at the University of Miami. Moore received his master’s degree in music performance and pedagogy from the Eastman School of Music. As a full-time faculty member in 2001, he joined Florida’s prestigious center of excellence in the visual and performing arts and the New World School of the Arts in Miami, FL. Moore’s teachings focus on the violin, chamber music and string pedagogy.
