Rosa Rabell Scholarship Endowment
Correspondence: support PK Yonge Spanish language students overseas as they study the Spanish language and culture; if overseas travel is not possible or desired, then students may be sent to a Spanish language program within the US and Puerto Rico.
Established in 2004 by a group of donors to honor the memory of Rosa Rabell. This fund supports PK Yonge Spanish language students overseas as they study the Spanish language and culture.
Rosa was born in Cuba and lived in Miami Beach and Gainesville. She was a Spanish instructor at P.K.Yonge Developmental Research School before retiring 1995.
She received a doctorate at the University of Havana and a master’s degree of education at the University of Florida 1966. Rosa was a past president of the Florida foreign Language Association/Association of Spanish and Portuguese Teachers.
