Everett L. Holden and Marian G. Holden Memorial Scholarship Endowment
Trust: support scholarships for needy students of high scholastic standing who attend UF's College of Education.
Established by Everett L. and Marian G. Holden through a trust agreement, this fund was set up for the purpose of supporting academic enrichment, something the Holdens worked hard for all their own lives. Both Everett and Marian attended Western Michigan University in the 1940s. It was there that Marian earned a bachelor’s degree in education in 1942. Everett continued his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, where he, too, earned a bachelor’s degree in education in 1961. Everett passed away in 1998 at the age of 82, and Marian passed just five years later.
