Michael Humphreys-Beher/Arthur Kimura Interdisciplinary Lectureship

This fund was created in honor of former University of Florida professors Michael Humphreys-Beher and Arthur Kimura to support a lectureship on women’s health and immunology and cancer research
Michael Humphreys-Beher was a professor of Oral Biology at UF’s College of Dentistry. He was an internationally recognized scientist in the field of salivary gland research and received the Distinguished Scientist Award for Salivary Gland Research from the International Association for Dental Research. He was also a past recipient of UF’s Distinguished Research Professorship Award. He passed away in 2001 at the age of 46.
Arthur Kimura was an esteemed associate professor of pathology in the College of Medicine. He died in September of 1989, at the age of 41.
The memory of these two outstanding professors lives on through the lectures sponsored by this endowment.
