Morton Wolfson
This fund was established by Morton Wolfson in 2003 for the purpose of supporting an annual award to a University of Florida faculty member selected by the Office of Student Affairs. The recipient should have made an outstanding contribution in the assistance and/or support of students while teaching, advising or working with undergraduate students.
Wolfson was born May 30, 1922. He entered the US Army in 1940 and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1961. At UF, Wolfson earned his bachelor’s degree in 1964 and master’s degree in 1967 with the College of Education. He went on to serve as a faculty member at UF for 17 years before retiring. His wife, Helen, is a 1971 graduate of UF and retired as a librarian from Buchholz High School.
