Coach Hawkins Endowment

This fund was established in 2003 for the purpose of supporting P.K. Yonge athletics programs with costs of leasing motor coaches and vans for team transportation within the College of Education.

Bobby Hawkins earned a bachelor’s degree in physical health and education from UF in 1966 and a master’s the following year. Bobby participated in varsity football and baseball while at UF.

“Coach Hawk” coached baseball at P. K. Yonge Developmental Research School for 33 years until his retirement in 1997. Hundreds of players benefited from his coaching on the field as well as the guidance and inspiration often carried off the diamond.
