GA: support scholarships; pref to graduate or current employee of Lake City Comm Coll seeking higher education in graduate program, then to students of Baker, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist or Union Counties transferring into graduate program, then to FL resident entering graduate program; renewable.
Barbara and Richard Anderson created this scholarship to assist advanced students in education. Barbara graduated from UF in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in education, and she and Richard earned their graduate degrees from Georgia State University. In 1994, Barbara was elected President of the American College Personnel Association, an organization of professional student affairs educators who share interests and values in the education and holistic development of students. She accepted the position of Dean of Admissions and Student Affairs for Lake City Community College in 2000. Richard has served as CFO and worked with the mayor for the city of Atlanta.
