Bertha Ring Memorial Scholarship Fund
GA: support international scholarships and/or study abroad opportunities for students majoring in the Warrington College of Business with course concentration in Human Resource Management.
This fund was established in 2002 by Susan L. and Tennant McWilliams in memory of Susan’s mother, Bertha Ring. Susan received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 1971, is a UF Hall of Fame inductee and before retiring was the Associate Vice President for Human Resource Management at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. This fund supports international scholarships and study abroad opportunities for students majoring in business administration with course concentrations in human resource management. Susan and her husband, Dr. Tennant S. McWilliams, historian, have a continued interest in international studies and lived in France for a year in 2007/2008 which broadened their knowledge of the French language and culture.
