Nancy A. Fackler Endowment for Brain Research

Nancy A. Fackler
This fund was established in 2002 by Martin L. Fackler in honor of his wife, Nancy A. Fackler, to support brain research at the McKnight Brain Institute.
Nancy was born January 24, 1941 in Norfolk, VA. She graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and was commissioned an ensign in the Navy Nurse Corps in 1962. She retired in 1997 with the rank of rear admiral and the position of deputy director of the Navy Nurse Corps for Reserve Affairs.
Nancy passed away May 4, 2008, twelve years after the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease was made.
