Barry C. Scott, M.D. Research Endowment Fund

This fund was established in 2001 by the Digestive Health Foundation of Louisiana, in memory of Barry C. Scott, to support research in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition in the College of Medicine.

Barry C. Scott is an Emeritus of the Digestive Health Center of Louisiana. He received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi Medical School. He completed his internship and residencies at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Scott also completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Florida. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Scott is a Fellow in the American College of Gastroenterology and holds membership in the: East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society, Louisiana State Medical Society, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, and American College of Physicians.
