Purchase materials for art collection.
Moe Rhine
This fund was established by a bequest from Moe Rhine in 2001 for the purpose of supporting the purchase of materials for the art collection in the humanities collection in the George A. Smathers Libraries.
Rhine was born May 8, 1905 in New York City. He taught school in New York City for 43 years. After retiring, he traveled to every continent except Antarctica. Rhine donated more than 10,000 books to the University of Florida libraries, predominantly for the architecture and art library. He passed away January 20, 1995 in Gainesville, FL.
