Lastinger Archeology Endowment
GA: support research, teaching, and preservation initiatives focusing on French and Spanish Colonial archeology of Florida's First Coast in the Museum.
This fund was established by the Lastinger Family Foundation in 2001 for the purpose of supporting research, teaching and preservation initiatives focusing on the French and Spanish Colonial archeology of Florida’s First Coast in the Florida Museum of Natural History.
Allen Lastinger attended P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School and earned his bachelor’s degree in 1965 and his master’s degree in 1971 in business administration from the University of Florida. Delores Lastinger earned her bachelor’s degree in education from UF in 1965.
The Lastingers are deeply committed to education as evidenced by the large number of teachers that exist within their family and through their creation of the Lastinger Center for Learning in the College of Education.
