This scholarship was established in 2000 by the Latin Builders Association, Inc. The Latin Builders Association (LBA) is a non-profit corporation organized in 1971 by a small group of Latin sub-contractors to provide its members with representatives at all levels of the construction industry. LBA now has more than 700 members. They represent a cross section of builders, developers, general contractors, suppliers, sub-contractors, bankers, professionals and others in related service industries in Miami-Dade County.
