Leadership 2000 James C. Grimm Endowment

Fund Purpose
Support attendance of student leaders from UF at various annual housing conferences; paying travel expenses and registration fee.

James C. Grimm was Director of Housing from 1977 to 2000. He was an internationally-known campus housing administrator. Grimm served as the president of the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International (ACUHO-I) from 1984 – 85. In fact, he put the “I” in ACUHO-I by actively recruiting international members to the organization and led many study groups of housing officers from the U.S. to study student housing in other countries. He co-founded the National Housing Training Institute for housing administrators. He was the recipient of the Southeastern Association of Housing Officers (SEAHO) Charles Beene Award and the ACUHO-I Leadership/Service Award, the highest recognition from both organizations.
