This endowment was established in 2000 through a trust by Wilson R. and Marie W. Collins. Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Florida in 1935 and Marie earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgia College. Wilson worked for Tampa Electric Company (TECO Energy) as a Manager of Substation Engineering before retiring after 37 year
