George and Liberty Perry Endowment in the Center for Greek Studies

This fund was established in 2000 by the estate of Liberty Perry to support the Center for Greek Studies in the Department of Classics in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
George Perry was born September 14, 1918. He was an active member of the Greek Orthodox Church, the past president for his local American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) and worked for the U.S. Postal Service.
After 52 years of marriage, George passed away October 15, 1995. Liberty was born November 25, 1919 and passed away May 29, 1999.
George and Liberty were the first contributors to the University of Florida’s Center for Greek Studies.
