C. Farris and Julia B. Bryant created this fund to support and implement the “Great Floridians Political Paper Project for the New Century: C. Farris Bryant Collection Digitization Project.”
C. Farris Bryant earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1938. He established a law practice in Ocala, FL before entering politics. Bryant first represented Marion County as a State Representative and in 1960, became the Florida governor. After his time as governor, he returned to practicing law until 2002.
Farris and Julia married in 1940 and had three daughters. Julia passed away in 1996 and Farris passed in 2002.
